seems like the one easy luggage solution.

i bought this for my wifes ninja, but since she has a steel tank, i stole it to test it out on my bike. i will most likely just purchase another one for her.

I just bought one too. Size 2 I think. Very handy for a rain suit (or two) without too much bulk.

if you look at my avatar /picture I bolted a larger motorcycle bag to an old seat pan on my Gen1, I have the same feature on my gen 2. A good used (and cheap) motorcycle bag from ebay bolted to the a used seat pan

    works well and fast ....
my RSVR is not a interceptor - but for long trips ....a tank bag. tail bag and backpack must suffice ...
    thank you

im looking into tank bags right now. im going away for 4 days and it looks like a backpack and that bag are my only options. i didnt even think about the saddle bags not working until i found that thread with the custom brackets. i dont have the time to make something like that before i leave.

i will probably end up with one of the bags that locks onto the fuel cap.

ya the RSV isnt a touring bike, but right now its the only one i have insured LoL. so it will have to do!! my goal is to break 3600km in 4 days and not leave Ontario!! lots of roads here to be discovered before i need go anywhere else.

I'm looking for a tank bag that locks to the fuel cap as well. Any ideas who does one that will fit the 2004-10 RSV?

Our fuel caps don't have bolt holes in the surround like the old rsv did, so we need one that had an adapter or replacement surround.

I do like that tail bag though

Finally a Tank bag that attaches to your fuel cap and keeps the bag off the tank, so no scratches.

It is from SW-Motech, Bags Connection. Nice fittings too. But it is NOT Listed for the RSV4. Instead, go for the Ducati Streetfighter 848. It has the same fuel cap as us.

NOTE: Our fuel caps do NOT have bolt holes in the cap surround. So this Streetfighter version comes with a replacement cap surround.

Go here http://shop.sw-motech.com/en/by+prod...ings/index.htm and choose the Quicklock tank lock system. Then go choose the Quicklock tank bag you want.

The fuel cap surround adapter can be for the new Quicklock EVO tank rings, and also for the older normal Quicklock tank rings.

Use the older version if you have the older bags, and the newer one if you dont already have one of the old Bags connection Quicklock bags

Remember... its the Ducati Streetfighter kit... (And you cont see a pic of the fuel cap surround adapter until you look in the Construction Manual PDF HERE http://shop.sw-motech.com/cosmoshop/...40_30000_b.pdf this PDF gives lots of detail

TRT.00.640.30000/B revision 1 is the kit for the EVO Quicklock and has the replacement ring for the top of our fuel cap surround. Their BLACK Quicklock Evo attachment ring bolts to that.
    http://shop.sw-motech.com/cgi-bin/co...typid=64283817

TRT.00.640.30000/S is the kit for the older Quicklock and has the replacement ring for the top of our fuel cap surround.
    http://shop.sw-motech.com/cgi-bin/co...typid=64283493

    TRT.00.640.030 is the tankring adapter
    TRT.00.640.006 EVO tankring

Then choose your bag from the Quicklock EVO range...
    http://shop.sw-motech.com/en/by+prod...bags/index.htm

or buy the evo adapter for the base of your bag.

NOTE... dont use the bag range for the Streetfighter... use the bag range for Äll"

This is some examples of bags but they have about 20 Quicklock bags that range in size from 2.5-20 Ltr
