Have you installed them correctly? put the front plate on the right way? have you adjust the screw in the mddle of the basket?

theres like a knocking noise when i rev and let it go back down to idle too btw it just had a full rebuild. clutch confuses me cause i thought i know ill sort it at the clutch lever side of the cable right you can feel it like you would a normal clutch i did put the cable tighter but then the clutch slipped :S so do guys think its the adjuster? anyone wanna give me some tips on how to adjust it to the right setting tbh when i fitted it i was in a hell of a rush as i had a super bad cold and was out side fitting it could the noise be the clutch? its like a tapping sound its loudish i thought

Sounds like you might have the centre screw too tight. Also make sure you've got the small ball bearing fitted between the 2 push rods. Loosen the locking nut and adjust the screw in until you just feel it touch the push rod, then back it off half a turn and lock it up there. I take it you fitted all the plates correctly. friction plate first then a metal plate, fit these alternately then finish with a friction plate. The metal plates should have a tab on them ,they should be fitted so they're 120 degrees offset from each other. You said they were new plates, did you remember to soak them in oil overnight before fitting them?

i soaked them for 30mins i was told by 4 bike shops that soaking over night was overkill as they really shouldnt need that long ok thanks guys yeah i made sure the ball was in tbh i was thinking it would need tightening :S im new to clutchs lol yeah i fitted the plates like that also im pretty confused since wouldnt that make the gap on the clutch plates smaller making it even worse? :S

make sure the clutch cable is not adjusted at its tightest wen you adjust the center screw, but if i where you i unhook the clutch cable and than adjust the centran screw so it just clears the pushrod, if its to close or touches the pushrod than as the clutch wears the plates no longer engage.

i fitted it without cable fitted and it was just in so touching it the clutch pulls fine but it still is on little even with the cable fully tightened where the clutch slips when i try riding i mean really can almost not move it still is on when i pull the clutch :S

where did you fit the ballbearing? it should be in beween the 2 pushrod halfs, so first the straight pin goes in, than the ballbearing, and than the mushroom pushrod.

yeah the long rod that goes in first then the ball then the push rod pin right i have a funny feeling that the adjuster may have come loose or something cause it seems to be getting louder like when its idleing it makes a tapping sound

Take the clutch apart mate before you really do some damadge and check whats going on.

No, you can just fit new clutchplates straight into the engine with out soeking them, you only risk burning them if theres no oil in between the plates, thats why you should soak the plates in oil, so wen you fit the clutch theres enough oil on the plates, because if you fit them dry and close the engine and than poor the oil in, the oil cant get properly between the plates as there pushed together by the springs and it takes a while for the oil to get in there properly.
