    Questions about Roadsitalia slip-on exhaust

Hi Folks, a couple of quick questions for those more knowledgeable than I. I’m looking at getting a set of Roadsitalia slip-on cans for my shiver.

What I would like to know:

Is the build quality on the same level as the top names (Arrow, Leo’s, etc.)?

Performance wise are they all really about the same? I haven’t been able to find a dyno chart that has different brands compared which would be really helpful.

Also, later down the line I would like to replace the rest of the system, since Roadsitalia doesn’t have a full system could I use another brand like Akra’s? Would that make the bike run waaayyy too lean and should just be avoided?

    Should I get a heatshield?

Any assistance would be a great help

Thanks, good to hear that you like them. Did you put a decat on and if so whom did you use?

I haven't done the decat .......yet, next on the list
All I've done so far is:
    Rear Hugger
    Roadsitalia pipes
    Tail Tidy
    48T rear sprocket

Hi. I bought them last year for my 2010 Shiver. Not easy to install. Set is complete, I made only the anti-dust and water underseat cover. I have full carbon ovals and they looks nice, quality is good enough. I have no other mods on my bike and after about 5000km with these exhausts I must say: Very loud without DB killers, very easy to remove/install DB killers, the engine runs much more smoother, you can use lower RPMs, fuel consumption went 1 liter down. And THE SOUND!!!! AMAZING!!!! Best investment in my bike ever. I ordered them directly from manufacturer via their web-page, they came in 1week with no problems via GPL. Some problems were with payment, but those guys were very kind and helped me to solve it out. No idea about shipping to USA. I have some pictures on my web page (unfortunately in czech) https://sites.google.com/site/filipv...italia-exhaust
Sorry for my english, I did not use it for long time.

Like i mentioned in the PM, send them an email, they will sort it out for you.

Butt dyno tells me there is an increase in performance.
fuel consumption went up a little bit, but this is more due to the fantastic sound in the higher rpm's

its a bit more easy to put the wheel up in second gear, but i need another sprocket to get this sorted.
I did replaced also the cat with a leo decat.

hope this helps you a little bit.
    Aprilia Shiver My10
Pazzo levers, Roads Italia carbon muflers, LV-decat, DNA filter, Fat Duc, Matris cartridge set, RBT rear sets, Seat cover, OZ Factory wheels.
Goodie's to follow: 15T sprocket, ProBolt titanium/alu bolt and nut conversion, carbon parts.
    Conclusion: Making a factory Shiver

Hi. Can you post dyno chart or at least values? I just want to have idea how much it helped to power curve... Did you measure it with Leo decat? I am preparing the same mod after my guarantee finishes.

Any issues with additional heat through the seat? I sometimes read about when someone puts on an aftermarket pair of cans and they say there is more heat coming through the seat and that a heat guard is needed. Also, ordered my cans last week. Just over $600.00 after conversion. I'll post pics once I get them and once they are fitted.

    SD,
Post up pics when you get them fitted. I was looking at these also, mainly because they're about the only affordable option out there.

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry for taking so long on getting some pics uploaded. I was hoping to get some along the beach but I just never had the time so did some quick shots in the garage tonight. So, I called up GP Motorcycles and had them fit the cans for me and hey admitted it was a tough job (needed two guys and a jack to get the pipes in place). Expect to pay a little more to have them done (and have them done professionally if you doubt your skill). However, they did a great job and I am super happy with everything and damn do they sound sexy!!! They are really worth the money!!! So, without wasting anymore time here are the pics. When I get some more time (yeah right with twins coming I'll have no time) I'll get some really nice pics down by the beach or something.

    Cheers,

    SD Waterboy

    That looks awesome.

Do you know what the weight deference is between the standard exhaust and after market one you fitted?

    These look really good...

You said you paid just over $600. Is this including shipping?
