Get yourself a cheap quart of mineral spirits. It's not a strong solvent, so it won't hurt paint or plastic. Wet the tip of a soft cloth to wipe grease or chain lube that's flung on the rear wheel. Use another dry soft cloth to wipe dry.

Spray detailer is a good way to remove dust, pollen, and bugs. It is very slippery so it is easy on paint surfaces or your acrylic windshield and won't scratch. Spray wax is neat too. I've tried several and currently have settled into using Meguars 'Ultimate' spray detalier and wax, black bottle.

For me it depends on how dirty the bike is. Light dust and grime its just Meguire's soap and water. If its really dirty I use either s100 or SportBike wash. Both cut the real dirty stuff fast. Basically it depends on the wheels. Those to me are the worse to do. Then wax and Mogul shine and go.

Like Amauri stated, a jam on the freeway between the wash and polish makes a big difference.

Between wash cleaner is Meguire's spray detailer and shine and go.

Always lube chain but may not clean unless dirty. Motul makes a nice chain cleaner, that and a chain brush gets it really clean. I use motul road chain lube. Doesn't fling like others.

Take a wet warm rag and get the hard bugs off then use a spray wax, honda polish etc. to shine it up and give it a finish. Eagle one spray wax(not wax as dry etc. ) is good and works well, smells great. Best part it wont white any textured plastic, and will actually over time clean any whiting on there. Stuff is great.

    I use Mr. Moto wash.

Let it sit for about 2 minutes.

    Hose the bike down.

Dry the bike off with a microfiber.

    Detail with Honda polish.

Chain is cleaned before hand with chain clean, grunge brush, and a rag.

Wheels are cleaned afterwards with a harder rag and WD40.
