Aprilia RS125 (2000) Cuts out around 5000/5500 revs

Hello,
I have a problem with my aprilia for long time now therefore i thought i might be able to get some help here. It started when I was driving the bike and while on the second gear the revs did't go above 5000 revs and all of the sudden she cut out. I tried to start her but no luck. I brought her home in a van and checked :
-If the plug was getting a spark
-Is there any blockages in the fuel pipes.
-Is there good compression
All of the above where Ok so i went to clean the carburetor but that has not helped either . The engine seems to be in good condition and I was told by a person with many years of experience fixing motorbikes that she doesn't need top end rebuild . Another mechanic told me that she could have the power valve too close together but he has not seen the bike and it was just a suggestion.Unfortunately I am not familiar with how that works so i have not touched it.I think it could be a problem with the electrics but
Any help will be highly appreciated as I miss riding her badly especially with the season just around the corner so please write suggestions, ideas , tips anything

Can you kindly explain what do you mean by "while on the second gear the revs did't go above 5000 revs and all of the sudden she cut out"? as in the bike stalled and dies off?

What was your RPM on first gear? does it get stuck in between an RPM range? As in being boggy?

Lastly was you choke on and/or faulty?

well basically my problem is that the bike cuts out.it starts with problems but after few secs of running it cuts out regardless if the choke is of or on ..and when i try to give it a bit of throttle the revs go up no higher than 5000/5500 revs

Air box still on?(with or without snorkel) Reeds still intact?
