    Hi!
    If you ride near Le Mans , there is a " relai motard ". Normally the prices are not expensive ;
    On this link => http://relais-motards.com/index.php?...blanc/231.html
    There are several relays for bikers in france if you need => http://relais-motards.com/
    For me , the best path does not pass through Paris , to join Cherbourg and Anneçy.

    Don't forget the many beautiful roads for Caponord near Annecy !
    Col de la Cayolle. Col de l'Izoard, col du Galibier, col de l' Iserand , le Parpaillon ,la Bonnette , col d'Allos , Le Lautaret ...

    Well if i wasnt looking forward to those roads i am now

    Basky/Lance, id say your going at a better time than we are, were beginning to worry that this low pressure weathers here to stay. Dont expect anything as slick or thorough as Sloth and Diablos trip report but il have a crack of banging up something, hopefully some sunny pictures at least!

    Breizh22, ive forwarded those links. Wow is all i can say. I must do some more map studing and read up on the most accessible from the lake at Annecy.

    Hi TC,
    Your good self and any others travelling to France could do worse than visit the Logis De France website and download their sat nav POI. I've stayed in dozens of their hotels and they're never less than excellent - usually scenic and charming, too. You never have to worry about your bike's security at their provincial hotels. I leave it in the yard or on the street.

    Seconded........stayed in one called Beau Rivage on the banks of the Seine at Nougent Sur Seine last year and they let us lock the bikes in their gated garden, hotel and food was tops...........stayed in another one near Rocamadour on the way back...superb!

    Try these folk:
    http://www.rebootguzzispares.com/contact.htm
    Peter & Vikki are a Brit couple who shifted to France and operate a Guzzi-specialist breakers; they have a holiday/B&B let and are about 100km SW of Le Mans.
    Dunno anything more than that.
    I'd like to die on Mars. Just not on impact.
    The appropriate number of cylinders for any motorcycle is two.

    It's almost 200km from Le Mans .
    But the road to go to Annecy is beautiful by Parthenay , Poitiers , Guérêt , Montluçon ...

    My silver tounged bride after glancing at me with it on commented that 'it looks like your wearing a kitchen appliance on your head darling' lol.
    Maybe its time to stop considering my replies when she asks does this dress make my bum look big.
