Got to work this morning to find that my tail light lens had fallen off. Just the red/amber bit as the reflector's still there. This is supposed to be a single unit so I have no idea what happened.
Can't believe the price for a new one so has anybody got a line in on a used spare that can be had for a reasonable price?
There's sure to be good karma in it too...

Ooh, lucky me! Bef's original buyer backed out so it's going to be mine. Strange isn't it, that I feel lucky despite the crap luck of having it fall off for no apparent reason in the first place :|
BTW NthnPhil you're dead right - after scouring the web they do seem to be thin on the ground unless you want to buy new.

The amber side bits are not glued in ?

My next question would have been: can you swap the side amber bits ? (I have 2 incomplete/damaged taill lights - trying to make 1 fully functional)
I'm sure we can't buy only the amber bits ! and the whole ensemble must be forged on mount Etna, if you judge by price
IIRC some others have complained about losing only an indicator lens from the back. It would make sense for it to be a three piece unit that is slotted together then glued onto the reflector, so I think your chances of making one good out of two bad are reasonable.
