Just crashed at 80 and im ok.The front end went away , due to the fact that Im still running rain tire in front.I should have taken it slower and I didnt ,shreaded gear cracked lid,but no broken limbs.I think my thumb and point finger are broken,at 50 years old its going to take a few weeks to heal.Motorcycles are my pass

Heal up Dean. Glad the only thing is a possible broken finger and thumb and a busted set of gear. Ride on.

Not fun when us old buggers crash is it.
Thought I did OK at the time but I still have a swollen hip nearly 17 months later. (Could be much worse of course)

Was Red 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 (got broken)
    Now Black 2010 RSV4R

Adding to the "I'm not dead yet" theme going. My ankle is about 90% after spraining it last November when I low sided at Carolina Motorsports Park. Front end went away for some unexplained reason. (three more crashed in the same area in the next two sessions). I was back on a bike riding roads a couple of weeks after but it took awhile to get the strength back to hang off a little. Just turned 58 last Friday

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Now that im out of the ciouds and the fog is clearing,I figured wtf happened.Ihit a crow or other black bird and crashed.I wobbled then lowsidedin a left hand sweeper posted 35mph.I rode the bike like a serfboard ,but somehow my left arm got caught in the back tire slammed me like Bruce Lee to the pavement. The bike only hit on the handguard and front slider .About a 30$ fix and some touch up paint on the handguard.

    Cool!
I had a crash like that on laureles grade going into Carmel Valley (without the blackbird though). All that I did was put a hole in the clutch cover and most importanly I didn't drift off of the cliff edge. Sounds like you'll be back on the road in no time.
