Talking Finally Getting it done :)

After months of waiting I will finally be able to complete my first stage of mods for my 2012 RSV4 Factory on monday.

So far I've installed the basics:

ASV levers, axle sliders front and rear, windscreen, case sliders, sato racing rear sets, BMC race filter, race ecu

This Monday I will be fitting:

Austin Racing AR22 GP2 full system, aprilia racing radiator hose kit, racing sump gasket, PC-5, COX radiator guard and going to mock up my race glass before I send it out for paint.

i have the same bike...it's sweet man enjoy it. i just did the 520 conversion with the 15/43 sprocket change and the thing is amazing. it wants to lift the front wheel all the time. the only thing missing on mine is the race filter (did you notice a difference in performance?) and the levers.
i already have the akra full exhaust on mine and it sounds amazing.
everyone that rides it (especially all my friends that have ducs) says the same thing: oh my god i wish i'd gotten this instead of my duc! lol

Hey Calbro, I bought it from gold coast Suzuki/ Aprilia before they stopped being an Aprilia dealer. My wife and I own our own shop in Yatala ( Steelhp.com.au ) Its only the 2 of us there and we do have a navigator to due diagnostics and learning for the ecu. They only thing I can't do is reflash maps because its a dealer only function.

So in short I do all my own servicing and dyno tuning.

Cool man, thats awesome.... you don't see many RSV4's in my area. I put the "race ecu" on mine with the stock exhaust and noticed a big difference. I'd been waiting for my new exhaust to show up.... so monday I can really get some more power out of the bike.

I also have a set of Aprilia race cams sitting on my work bench that I'm going to put in after a couple track days.

Do you ride on the track?

cool, i just checked out your website...I'd love to drop in and check out the shop and your rsv4 !!

So you'd recommend if putting a slip on to install the race ecu too? Can these rsv4's be tuned with a pc5 without using the race ecu ?

Yea it would be nice to meet ya.

Far as the slip-on goes, you can use a pc5 to custom map the fueling for the pipe. I am also using the race ecu so I can have the better timing curves and full power settings for the S/R/T modes. This is more for when I put the racing cams in.

What exhaust are you putting on?

bears, cool, i've got a few mates competing this year on dukes and bmw. They did eastern creek last weekend, Broadford this weekend and morgan park 5-6 May. I'll be going out there to watch.

I currently have a 1098R which i'm considering selling/trading for the factory aprc.

Well no offense but I would say ditch the duc and get the factory..... The factory is a hell of a lot nice to ride and the handling is better.

In australia, the first of the 2012 Factory came in the 2011 colors. Late March early April the new color scheme was released here. The vin and the build plate on my bike says its a 2012 And to be honest, I was really worried about the color change. I hadn't had a bike for 5 months or so and all I wanted to do was ride

    Cheers,

    J

Here's a couple pics from today. sorry I didn't have time to take more. I only worked on it a few hrs today. I installed the exhaust, radiator guards, racing sump gasket, and secondary air block off plates. Sometime this week I will install my PC5 and tune the bike.
