    kurveygirl.com has them too, but if you are looking for the XX pads, they don't show up under a Aprilia RSV4 search...however our pads are the exact same as what the 2011 Suzuki GSXR750 uses. If you look them up for the suzuki, you will then see they fit the RSV4....or you can just click below

    The Z04 pads are great for the track - but not for the street. They must be hot to work & once they're hot they have a huge amount of bite - enough to stoppie at very, very high speed. They don't last as long as some other less extreme pads, but they are good.

    I mentioned in a post long ago that a direct swap of the original to RCS made a much bigger difference than expected - and this switch lasts a lot longer than race pads. That said, if you're not on the track I don't know how noticeable the difference will be.

    I forgot about kurveygirl...another good source for parts. Good info on the compatibility with the 2011 GSXR750.

    Wow, $240 for a set. They'd better be amazing =)

    Edit: I just realized the OEM pads are $200 a set. I guess a 20% premium isn't that bad. I'm just surprised - I thought the 4-pad caliper sets were expensive at $160/set.

    I agree. I changed my 04 RSV from stock Brembo to SBS and was blown away at the initial bite as well as feedback. So I just installed a set of SBS on the RSV4 and so far I am having to same results. They are not fully beaded yet and already feel stronger than the stock Brembo Pads.
    In the garage now 2001 Suzuki GSXR-1143, 2004 RSV Factory & 2010 RSV4 Factory. Somehow ended up with an inline 4, V-twin & V4.

    Both my friend (2011 GSXR750) and I went through stock pads, then changed to a CL C59, then to these SRJL-XX pads..HANDS down, the Vesrah is the best pad to date. We both hated the idea of spending double what the Carbone Lorraine pads cost, but I'll gladly do it again when it comes time to replace

    How long do all these different types of pads last?

    Which would be best in terms of both long lasting, and strong?

    The only real difference is the rotors.
    1098 = 330mm diameter
    RSV4 = 320mm

    As far as m/c choice, I honestly don't think there is enough performance benefit/difference between the stock Brembo 18x19 radial versus the Brembo racing 19x18 radial, m/c (especially the RCS).

    Instead of spending $365 for a new RCS m/c, spend the money on a set of Brembo Z04 brake pads p/n 107A48649, you will be amazed.
    Well bad timing for me, I had already bought the RCS 18/20 m/c. Well, I'll put it on if I don't have to change the lines and let you know what the difference is.

    SubZero, thats pretty hard to answer as it will greatly depend on skill level, weight of rider, track layout, any street. FWIW I think I got about 5 full track days on the stock pads and on the CL, and got about 3 days on the SRJL-XX pads before the season ended (still pad left)....all of this was always on the same track. However, my laptimes have dropped so i'd say i'm harder on the brakes now than I was with the stock pads.

    potere, I think you will be happy. I have the rcs19 on mine and while I didn't spend much time with my stock MC, it does feel better...is it in my head...can't say for sure

    I agree, I love the brakes on my RSV4 but my 1198S sucked and had to have a lot of $$ thrown at the front including the RCS, pads and Carbon Fiber brake lines to make me happy by giving me the linear behavior I like.

    They claim they saw 4 second a lap difference by switching to these brakepads from another race style pad....eh imagine a stock pad,lol. http://www.trackdaymag.com/coverstor...rake-pads.html

    at STG they are only $216

    Whats even more weird if for the factory they are listed at 157.00, the Factory & the R have always had the same brakes as far as I know

    Does anyone know if the early years of the RSV4(09) had a different caliper or something. Kurvey girl mentions something to this effect on her site as well

    "Some APRILIA RSV4 (2009 - 2011) may be fitted with Brembo M4 Calipers.
    Brembo M4 calipers are the similar to the Ducati 1098/1198 calipers.
    Check the number of pads in your caliper uses and the pad shape
    If your caliper uses 2 LARGE brake pads, in the size and shape shown below, the VD-9031 are correct.
    If your caliper uses 4 SMALL brake pads, please check the VD-986 pads for correct fitment."

    I thought all RSV4's would be VD-9031

    From an email to Vesrah earlier I was told for our calipers they only make the standard RJL or SRJL-XX, so not sure why they are listed as a SRJL17 on their site, but thinking about ordering it to see what I get sent,lol, looks like a human error.
