    Cross matching of OEM parts

Sometimes I have found with Aprilia parts if you try to find a Caponord part, it's out of stock, yet the same part from another model is actually in stock. I had this experiance recently with some miscellanous bolts I was after.

Today, I was having a quick look at various parts and I saw that the Falco has a pre-loader that looks suspiciously similar to the Caponord unit.

Thus, my question is, has anyone here owned a Falco and could they confirm if the shock is the same width as the Caponord?

If so, it's a damn cheap way to cure the "faulty height adjuster" issue that some guys have. ($49.99 from AF1)

Andrew, iirc the old falco i owned didnt have hydraulic preload. As standard they come with a crappy sachs unit with threaded manual preload rings and a single adjuster at the botytom for split reb/comp. Maybe the one you saw was aftermarket?
The futura unit has a similar arrangement in preload to ours but the adjusters a built in part of the shock and not remote on a hose.
Have a gawk at Peggysue's http://www.af1racing.com/store/scrip...idproduct=4001 now that adjuster looks well familar eh!

John, disregard the part numbers, they aren't relevant.

For example, when I last visited Dave Ward, he showed me a bar riser from a Tuono, it was EXACTLY the same as the RR riser. different part number. Hmmmmm

Was there a significant price difference?
