Okay, so I got back from work last night and proceeded to service the bike. Got up this morning went down to the local bike shop and bought myself a pair of Alpinstar touring boots (excellant value if I must say) as my sports boots get a bit uncomfortable after a while. Loaded the bike and by the time I had finished messing around it was nearly mid-day. Once underway I decided to get a few kays under the belt and just as I was thinking I really should pull up soon (decending darkness) I arrived in the lively town of Coolgardie. So it looks like I am going for a ride tomorrow as well.

I know, anyway covered approx 900ks today and arrived at Border Village about 5:30 this afternoon. Overall a good run from Coolgardie through to Balladonia then it was on with the music for the infamous 90 mile straight (longest straight road in Aus) even though it feels as though every other straight is 89 miles . After that it was dodge the dead roos from Caiguna to Cocklebiddy. Then a clean run to Border Village. Managed to take some video today and a couple of photos so once I pull up stumps for a few days I will try and edit it into something tangible. Any way origianally I was going to have a big day tomorrow however my mate has just called to say he has a problem with his bike and won't be able to meet as origianally planned. So I might just cruise tomorrow and get some photos. Will update tomorrow.

That would be the one, fuel pump "O" ring has let go on him and is pouring fuel over the exhaust. Anyway I left Border Village this morning and continued my journey. Managed to get some photos of the cliffs between BV and Nullabour Roadhouse. The ride picked up once I had cleared Ceduna, I also took a photo I should have taken twenty years ago (me standing outside the Ceduna Caravan Park hitch hiking) although suprisingly it has actually changed since then. Nice to have some sweepers to take away the flat spots on the tyres. Anyway I continued on and pulled up stumps at Kimba overall another 800ks. I'll be back to update tomorrow.

Clocked another 800ks today (although according to google maps it was 775ks) and arrived at Robinvale in Victoria. You can't belive how happy I was to see some advisory signs for some corners even if they were 95 in a 110 zone. Nice sweepers heading across to Gladstone from Port Pire. Next two days are going to be easy days my mate has fixed his Duke and will meet me some where on the mountains (find out tomorrow). All up it was nice to pull up on the banks of the Murray and have a beer.

Relativatly short day today with only 550ks coverd. So right now I am writing this as I have a beer at the Royal Hotel in Adelong. I am already enjoying the corners after the rather long straights I have encountered over the last few days. Anyway way it"s time to get the bike camera out and scrub the tyres out completly.

Damn, I did 300k's on Sat on the Falco and my butt was sore. Maybe you should change from wickedmanwicked to ironbutt or similar. Those distances on the Capo were ok but on a Falco, glad you are enjoying the twisties finally.

Tomkn, I was thinking of you this morning. As I was leaving the caravan park the owner came out with a mate who has a Futura for sale for 6k, only has 30,000 ks. I think I have done so many days with fairly high ks that I need to wind down a bit as even today I thought I haven't traveled far enough. Hopefully the twisty's will sort that for me. Looking forward to chewing up a tyre completely for a change.

    Pretty much
Futura for 6K, don't tempt me, the probability approaches unity that my Capo will be written off and I'll have some money to spend. I have been tempted to buy a little moto morini 500 (1984) that's only done 7000 miles. There is a Futura for sale in perth for 8K done 25K Km but 6K and an excuse to ride back again.....
