I'd like to die on Mars. Just not on impact.
The appropriate number of cylinders for any motorcycle is two.
the Idle valve air connections are regular rubber. perhaps 1/2" id ( 20mm?) not hard to get at. disconnect them first, and then bring out the phillips driver to remove the valve.

not so bad if you realize there is a spring loading the plunger in the cylinder. Take it apart slowly and it will go back together just fine. The stepper motor will reset its position when you get it back together, so nothing is too delicate to take apart.

So empty the room, sweep the floor, cover the motor with a detonation-baffle (clean towel) and wear night-vision goggles?
Got it!
Actually I squirted it through with throttle-body cleaner till it ran out clean, so I might just leave well alone.

Mine's doing same. Got it all back together after the R/R upgrade and adding fuse box. It ran fine while checking charging (another story). Then 3 days later again ran fine to the gas station. But when I started it up afterwards it was idling @ 2k. I didn't realize how conditioned I was to that little extra engine braking.
I'll need to re-remove the take to check my stator connections anyway so I'll have a look at the IA valve and its hosery.
