    Best front stand for RSV4

What is the best stand for the RSV4 with enough clearance? I tried to use a Lockhart Phillips front stand but the middle bar hits the low part of the fairing, just in the below the front headlight.

I use a PitBull. Have used it with various pins for the last 5 bikes I've had without any problems. I've also used it to work on many of my friends' bikes. Never an issue, as long as the pin is right. I've collected a small assortment by now, but it's better than having an assortment of front stands.

What front pin is everyone using for the Pit Bull new style front stand? They actually list two in their fitment chart, STD or #25.
    From PitBull Website:
    RSV4 #25 pin
    RSV/RSV4 Factory/R models Std pin

I ordered one last year and do not think it was either of those two listed, almost like they revised the listing since last spring.

It depends on what bike you have. The Factory takes the Standard pin though. I'm not sure about the RSV4R. If you do a search though, it has already been covered on the forum.

I use a "bike-lift" and it hits the fairing so I just lay a t-shirt over it to avoid scratching. Once the stand is up, its fine. I've left it there for 24 hours and no issues with pulling apart or anything. It is stressful lifting the bike because you think you're going to rip apart the upper but its all good. How do you measure front sag? You top out the forks by pulling on the upper for a few seconds. If you bottom a wheelie, you slam the front down onto the front fender...these bikes aren't that fragile.

This is the same stand that Ferracci sells for $330..its even made in Italy!

Amazon used to sell these for $170 but I dont see it on their site any longer.

I have a K&L front stand that works great on the RSV4.
    In the garage now 2001 Suzuki GSXR-1143, 2004 RSV Factory & 2010 RSV4 Factory. Somehow ended up with an inline 4, V-twin & V4.

Why would you ever endorse or use a stand that you have to use a T-shirt to avoid scratching and worry about it pulling apart your bike? Doesn't make much of a good sales pitch if you ask me. Plus it's the same, or more expensive than the Pitbull which I don't have to worry about breaking my bike at all! I'm just saying...

I finally picked up a PitBull front fork stand. GP Motorcycles had them for less than cycle gear. Now I have two sets of each. The K&L is build with the sturyness of a PitBull but it comes apart for easy packing. I have always wanted a PitBull for quicker install of my tire warmers anyways.
