I must admit I enjoy flying under the radar with my stock quiet exhaust system... But for the sake of argument what sort of real world power gains can be found with......
1. Stock muffler mod to more of a straight through flow
2. A set of new cans like Akrop's or something made to fit.
3. A full on Staintune setup with H pipe.
I have no interest in crazy loud systems cuz "Loud pipes DON'T save lives..... They piss people off" LOL

I just picked up an 02' Futura so I'm new here. I love the bike, but really don't like the exhaust note. If any one has or has a line on a set of used cans, I would be very interested.

Can someone explain the difference between the Staintunes for a 2001 to 2003 and the Staintunes for a 2004? They say the 2004 cans are different. How? I have a set from and 04' that I want to put on a 2002. Will it work?
If I was going to spend the money , I would say go with the big bore kit for more power over the exhaust mods....just my opinion and that of the guys at Seacoastsports in Derry NH.
