Looks cool. I needed to replace a couple hoses after a crash, so I decided on bling to replace them

That's the sales pitch we give our wives. The reality is that you likely won't own the bike long enough for the OEM hoses to crack. Plus, MC engines don't suffer in a hot-box like auto engines do.
So.... bling. Yeah, that's primarily it.

No apparent advantage, only that the oem hose clamps distort the clamped area and make re-using the standard hoses difficult as they tend to leak.
C'mon, everyone knows red hoses are faster...

the red colour absorbs far infra red radiation ionising the water in the coolant mixture which gives you bike 10hp extra and the 'balance band' effect which makes it impossible to crash

Now THAT was good!
My RED Samco hoses turn my hot coolant into Artic cool water. They increase HP by 5 for each hose added too. If you do ever need to remove the hoses the Samco will be much easier and not crack like the stock stuff. Its mainly a cool look thing that will have people thinking you have more serious internal work done.
In the garage now 2001 Suzuki GSXR-1143, 2004 RSV Factory & 2010 RSV4 Factory. Somehow ended up with an inline 4, V-twin & V4.

The 851 started to leak coolant out of one of the stock hoses so I had blue Samco hoses installed. I am not sure if the bike runs cooler or if I shaved a few ounces off the bike but it sure as hell made my wallet lighter.
