Go my "new" 2009 rsv1000r factory. Let the modding begin!!!

Took delivery of my "new" 2009 left over ape... 7 miles on the odometer!!! All ready have pulled her apart and the modding has started. On the list and ordered is Mivv GP carbon fiber slip on system. BMC hi flow air cleaner, e-vap can removed, MAP 2 enabled, clear brake light, clear rear and front directional covers, Aprilia GP shift linkage kit " my ducati 996 has gp shift so this has to happen..lol " and remove the front reflectors from fender. In due time i will be installing a power commander V and get it dyno tuned or maybe install the auto tune. I have not decided yet we will see....i love this bike already!!! Depending on what you want to do most people run a 15t front sprocket cause it won't require replacing the chain.

    Street ratio I like a 15t/42t

Add a 43 or 44 and wow look out now!

Look at your tires, I know they havent been ridden on but they are over 3 year old. Have fun.

Great site. Load your bike settings and you can see how much top end you will lose by changing the gears. You only loose like 500rpms for 2 teeth in the back I think with a front 15t. But you gain a TON of tq and acceleration. Literally feels like 5 more HP.

Oh and replace your hose clamps while you are tearing it apart.

At the top of the RSVR section there are stickies, read them all.

Like that lift table, where did you get it?

Sorry you think it's intolerant of me to not tolerate your intolerance.

2007 RSVR 1000- Yeah, It has a few upgrades.....

We used to earn the things we desired in life. Now we're just encouraged to put our hand in the next guy's pocket.

    - Don't go where trouble is likely to find you.
    - Some people attract trouble. Don't associate with them.
    - If you're minding your own business and trouble finds you anyway, do what it takes to de-escalate and walk away.
    - If walking away isn't a viable option, consider running.
    - If you have considered and/or exhausted all of your other options and you must fight to defend yourself, fight to kill.

Oh yeah it is a bitch to find neutral on this thing!!!!Did some research and i figured i will bleed the clutch slave cyclinder and if that does not correct the problem i will investigate if i have the #60 oil jet installed. If so i will order the #40 jet and give that a go.

I just love that Red Lion.

Yes, you need to bleed all the hydraulic circuits, if you haven't already. It probably has been 3-4yrs since they first filled the fluids at the factory. Mine sometimes gets a bit fussy to get neutral, but not really all that bad. The silky smooth gear shifts more than make up for that.

The cans are a must, but PCV probably won't get you much more than MAP2 already does, so only worth considering if you get the Autotune. Even then, I see it as more of a convenience to let you change fuel mapping easily. I might do it if I ever track the ape regularly and want to run two MAPs on two sets of pipes.
