That's cool, thanks for posting. The exhaust comes out of the sides of the heads like the MCS-1, and as the article mentioned the bodywork is similar to the RSV4. Not sure about that front suspension though?

It is very hot but I get the same vibe from this machine as I got from the old BMW K1.
I get the feeling that if one wants to make a bike this hot then start from scratch. BMW finally succeeded with the S1000.

Nice, but the front end doesn't look right. Looks like it hit a wall and pushed everything back. Other than that, I like it.
If Guzzi ever produce the V12 Strada concept bike that they showed at EICMA, they will sell a shit load of them. That is a thing of beauty!

The front end looks like the Britten front end. The engine head layout looks something like the MAS12.

^^^ There you go, I was mistaken thinking the exhaust came out the sides on the MGS-01 (and typo'd it "MCS"). I knew I'd seen a Guzzi with the exhaust like that though. That engine made some pretty serious HP, didn't it? The MGS-01 made something like mid 120's, which along with all the off-the-shelf stock Aprilia RSVR components made it not so impressive to me.

The MGS-01 motor made about the same power as the current 8V only in a much more fragile and unreliable manner. The Motor with the side exit exhausts was designated the VA-10. It was a horrid, vibratory pig that produced entirely unsatisfactory results. That's why it never saw the light of day.

According to mandello racing the MAS12 made 151HP.

Pete, always nice to have you chime in. Brutal delivery, but I'm sure Gospel. Love it, thanks.

Bill, thanks for the link. Interesting stuff.

The MGS-01 is funny to me. Guzzi folks hold it up as The Grail, the embodyment of what a Sporting Guzzi should be.

It is a pretty thing in my eyes, but the details bother me. Being that Guzzi and Aprilia are step kids under Piaggio it shouldn't surprise, but the MGS-01's forks and at least the upper triple look to be straight off an RSVR. Wow... just over 120 RWHP? That's exactly what my bone stock RSVR did for a baseline dyno run. I dunno. Where are all the one-off billet pieces you'd expect on a super low production racer, that they wanted a small fortune for? Not to mention performance? It is a race bike after all...

You know how people say "it looks like it's going fast even when it's standing still?" Well, this one looks like it's doing a stoppie all the time.

looks like the front end and wheels were photoshopped from a confederate wraith.
