What is the ECU software version?
How did your mechanic verify there are no errors in the ECU log and is map-2 correcly set?

Yes, that what we thought so...ECU doesn't shows any error until we swap another bike's ECU...with this ECU the bike runs perfectly while the other bike (which using the faulty ECU) got the same issue as mine...

So, we concluded that the ECU is the culprit... now, I am looking for a spare ECU. Anyone..? Name: ECU.jpg

There are two versions of ECUs, the early versions are not interchangeable with the later.
I can't see clearly on the photo you posted what version you have.

Also, when swapping the ECU from one bike to another, you must use the AXONE to re-initialize them both.

Again I ask, what version ECU software do you have?
And, was the other bike's ECU the same as yours?

    Thank you mate,

Here's the picture for your reference...

Again I ask, what version ECU software do you have? - probably the earlier..
And, was the other bike's ECU the same as yours? - yes, it was the same year..

Your ECU shows version # 664583 on the label.
If you read my sticky about ECU maps, you will see that yours is a late model "two wire" ECU.
Early 04 bikes came with early "three wire" ECUs, later in 2004 they switched to the newer p/n ECU. The two are not compatible.

Look at your flywheel/ignition timing sensor, does it have two wires or three wires?

oops sorry...I've got the answer already (from your sticky thread)..thank you!!

    ECU software versions:
The latest AXONE software currently available is 7.0.1 and includes all the maps listed bellow:

software for early 04-RSVR with three wire timing sensor, AXONE ≥ 5.0.4
-664582 was the first generation map, ran poorly when switched to map-2
-664584 (file VD5G684$.BIX) first update and worked very well (first available with AXONE 5.0.2)
-664586 (file VD5G68B$.BIX) same as the map shipped with 2005 bikes
-664588 (file VD5G68Z$.BIX) map specifically to work with the EVO-6 race only pipe

software for later 04-RSVR with two wire timing sensor and 05-RSVR, AXONE ≥ 5.0.4
-664583 (file VD5L683$.BIX) same as 664584, originally installed in the later 04 bikes
-664585 (file VD5L68A$.BIX) same as 664586, originally installed in the 2005 bikes
-664587 (file VD5L68X$.BIX) same as 664588, for use with EVO-6 pipe

..with all the upgrades, I would probably need to have this one, right?

-664587 (file VD5L68X$.BIX) same as 664588, for use with EVO-6 pipe

    Cheers...

RSV Factory 2004-2005 two wryer pick up sensor.

well, The answer is replacing new ECU. open circuit means no power supply or signal to injectors but wiring ok then internal circuit is damaged by over-load.

No, that ECU is meant for an early production 2004 with the three wire timing sensor.
Yours is a late two wire type.

That 266536 ECU is for a 2006 and newer RSV with the revised cylinder heads and exhaust system Cats.
It will work on your two-wire 04 RSV but you will not be able to load the 04 map on it.
Probably be OK with the 06+ map though.
