Calling all experts! or those that maybe tried already? Will the front 15T sprocket from 07-08 V2 gen fit the RSV4 Tuono V4?
    Thanks.

15T front is WAY more insane fun around town yet motor remains super smooth at highway speeds. I have done two this week, using old school RSV/r V990 sprockets. Plenty of room to work, rear wheel does not need to be removed. Just loosen axle and turn chain adjusters fully in and slide wheel forward. Literally 30
    minutes or less.

Already installed on the bike which I'll be picking up tomorrow, naturally in banana yellow....
Tried the stock gearing and it was too tall for my taste and needs around town. Sure glad I kept that brand new V990 sprocket from my original 1000r.

I would actually be curious to try a 17t for touring type riding. I bet fuel economy and engine rpm at cruise are related.

I'm not so sure, I've put 8k km on my Tuono in only few months of use and the disturbing thing is that mileage Is not really related to speed , it's always low on km per liter also if you stay really very very soft and gentle on the gas and never pass 7k rpms and R map.

I was wondering the same thing. Does Aprilia make a 17T sproecket. I would gladly give up a wee bit of acceleration for better mpg and especially longer range, as the group I ride with is not going to like having to stop for me all the time.
    Just picked mine up today!!!

So far I went through one tank at 106 miles. Squeezed 3.48 gallons until the pump shut off. That's with 15/42 gearing and my normal, "gentle" riding habits through the canyons and splitting rush hour traffic on the freeway. That puts me right on the money where I was with my V2 Factory with same 15/42 gearing, Akra slip ons, map 2 enabled. Interestingly enough why V2 kept my revs at 5100rpm at 80mph V4 is a bit higher at 5800rpm. Given the V4 is only one day old and I'm not giving it all the beans those figures may change. As I'm running it in with the hot/cool of cycles and not going over 8500rpm (often) bike seems to be very happy in the 5K-8K range. Pulls like a locomotive and screams like a raped gorilla
