Some decal thoughts/ideas: opinions?

So I've got my mostly stock black DD and a local guy just got his vinyl plotter back up and running. So now I'm dreaming stuff up.

I know I want to put an Aprilia lion head on my tank wings. If anyone has a good template for that that I would appreciate it if you sent it to me.

I'm thinking on the back shrouds I want to go from the normal Dorsoduro decal to having that same font and style done with Aprilia left aligned on top, then Dorsoduro underneath that, then left aligned on the bottom would be 90(degree symbol) V-Twin and right aligned either SMV750 or just 750. I'd post a mockup but I'm on my phone. I'm not sure if that would come off as too busy.

I want to keep it classy and clean. Not race-bike cluttered. Thoughts?

I originally wanted a black DD, but ended up with a good deal on a red one. If I had gotten it in black, my intention was to remove the stickers I didn't like and go for the "less is more" approach, kind of like what you are saying.

I have a 2009, with the bigger "Dorsoduro" stickers on the back, and they have now wrinkled and lifted twice (yes, I actually bought replacements, as the originals were already looking bad when I bought it). So anything you choose that is simple and stays put would be better than original, in my opinion.

Close, Tubad. I'm going to keep the stock Aprilia logo that's in silver and just add a white ruin underneath.

I need to get some spare time and toss together a mockup.

Ok. Mad hackjob, which you're going to have to excuse. I had to learn both GIMP and Inkscape in just a couple short hours well enough to make this happen. I've got a metric boatload of fonts on my work machine, so I'll see if I can find the Dorsoduro font at work tomorrow. Until then I'm going with the closest thing I have here, which is Impact. Several flavors of lion heads and orientations. I'll probably also match the original aprilia silver color for all of it. I didn't think of that until too late this go round.

Yeah, I saw those too and they're really cool. I'm keen on keeping the original Aprilia logo I've got though. Plus I'm going to have them made by a local guy for a fraction of what buying some would cost me. So I have to keep it somewhat simple.
