yess it should be exactly the same, and even if it is not the mounting would be the hardest bit any way (but you say that's not problem) the connections to th engine you can get adapters for it they do not fit - which they will

06 and the 07 are the exact same bikes... if its a 1999 to 2005 it will fit but you need to plug/remove/reroute some stuff.
