This is starting to sound like either a "Transmission implosion" somewhere around the Variator, or you hit something under your bike in the area of the Starter...
Either way, I hope that you get it all sorted out and are back on the road again soon!

I was having problems with my kevlar belt hitting my starter motor bendix. Didn't know if the cause was my V2008 or the actual belt. I believe its more of the belt though. Its longer and thicker than any others.
while at full transition the top of the belt rides just above the pulley and therefore hits the bendix.
in order to fix it, I had to go to the stock variator and stock belt.
Is this ominous news for anyone that goes to 86cc, and have to use the kevlar belt? The first version of your beast did this to the stock belt.. Anyways, are you any closer to getting the CVT setting from dropping of at WOT?

Now that I'm using my stock variator, stock belt and 5.1g rollers with the ZX-R, the RPM does not drop. Acts just like a Ditech. 8200 RPM at WOT, never drops and at full transition, it then starts to rise.
So now you have PFI commuter the way you wanted it? If so, congratulations.

I'm still trying to figure out why that setup on my scooter was failing. I've been in contact with HGT and it seems to be something related to only my scooter and not the 86cc builds. Which has me stumped.
Rich would never send anythimg out that does the same thing. So those going to 86cc don't worry
For now I'm riding with my stealth setup and will play with more setups when I get the replacement parts delivered.
But I'm really loving this current build.
so you changed belt, Variator, Rollers and Exhaust?
are you still able to reach the same speeds?
Same rollers as I was using before, so those didn't change.
Haven't tried for top speed but yes reaching same speeds in the same time.
I can easily cruise at 55-57
Good to hear. are you Pre mixing the same amount as you did with the other kit you ran?

It's because your engine was manufactured by Piaggio and not Morini :P. I'm sorry, that was mean, but I just had to xD. Good luck getting to the bottom of it. Once you start doing all kinds of heavy mods like these it gets to be a pita figuring out which part isn't working right.

But yes you have a good point. This is the reason I went to a mild build now. I absolutely love the way this thing is running now.
