Hi all
bike has the crap sha carb, and my acceleration isnt great so what parts ( cheap aswell as i dont wanna spend lots ) will i need to use with the standard airbox? obviously new manifold,new carb but what can i get that will fit? on a very very tight budget!
This has been awnsered plenty of times.
You need a Carb with an Adaptor for the Stock Airbox, and a suitable manifold, you can also try to get a later PHBN model airbox rubber as thats a smaller diameter.
would the tnt 21mm be to much for a de restricted 50?
Yeah, derestricted with just a fast exhaust you want to stay under 19mm, if you still got the stock pipe than you want to stay under 17.5mm

I doubt it, its a type thats no longer sold, not the "street" version, silencers you need to buy seperate and its a newer silencer as the other one got shattered in a crash.
I got 3 difrent Giannelli pipes btw, one of the others is probably the same as you got, and the other one is a twin endy pipe for a single sided swingarm model RS50/AF1.

They look the same, and the silencers are always sold seperate.
There are slight difrences between the old and the later model, i would have to take them both and put them next to each other to point them out, but the expansion chamber is difrent and the manifold is difrent, difrent shape and a bit wider, its also harder to fit on the bike, likethe mounting points are slightly off than what they should be.

Gianelli only makes good pipes, if you want the pipe to stay rust free clean it properly and rubb it in with Teflon Based Wax like Turttle Wax Teflon, put a nice thick coat on the bit thats behind the fenders, and just rub it out a bit more on the tailpipe and silencer. that will keep your pipe nice for years to come, mines 13 years old and still no rust.

If you clean your bike regulary and once in a while take one of the side fairings of and clean and wax the exhaust in again than its no problem for them to last that long or much longer, and take the bike out forr a bit longer drives regulary where the whole pipe heats up including the silencer to get rid of any condensation watter that has formed in there.
