Add another to the Mana fold

I've been lusting for an upgrade from my MP3-500 and just bought a new '10 white (the fastest color, I hear) Mana GT. Trailered it home 600 miles but it was worth the 2 days of time, gas, tolls, motel. Rode 175 miles around NW Jersey on Sunday and I am impressed with the difference in power, ride, sound, and agility of this beast - not to mention how good looking it is! Now to get started on my Mod List: full slider set already in the mail. Next up is a taller screen, tail bag, HIDs, risers, Ram for GPS, maybe a chin fairing and LED brake/turn lighting.
Looking forward to catching up on the great knowledge base here. I may have to get a part time job to keep up!

I must admit those white GTs are sexy little monkies..

I saw an MP3 for the first time on the road the other day, well the Gilera badged version which afaik is pretty much identical other than the paint job; I followed him for about 2 or 3 miles, I think it was a 500 as it had a nice deep sound, moreso than my 400cc '99 plate Burger.

For a 3 wheeler he chucked it around quite well, I've seen the vids so I know they can handle themselves but it was still something of a surprise to see in person.

    Ray,

Congrats on the purchase and as you've mentioned, you've already enjoyed the ride...lol...I knew you would. You are in great company with the east coast guys like Pete & slowmike, next you'll be putting CF and changing out the forks and wheels on your Mana

Welcome to the unique world of CVT motorcycle power. I like the white too (obviously). If you've been riding an MP3, I have to tell ya' that this bike has a high CG and it you are not careful you'll dump it --- like in driveways, on sandy roads while stopped etc. I admit to falling over several times by not paying attention. Remember to use the hand brake. That will save your ass too. Regarding the taller windshield, have you thought of a wind deflector? OLDSPICE turned me on to a wind deflector for BMW's and it works very well on the Mana. See photos. Made by Wunderlich, (website is Wunderlichusa. com I think).

Welcome! Great choice! Ride safe, and all that crap!

Now, what screen are you looking at? Any numbers--height, cost, etc.? Please post when you pull the trigger on that one!
    2010 Mana GT

    Added:

    three cases
    stelvio hand guards
    dual horns (hi-lo), both louder
    sliders--both forks, engine/frame, and handlebars
a couple scratches and a cracked LF turn-signal cover

    keeping the silly canister

The evolution: 2007 Honda Ruckus 50cc, 2007 Honda Reflex 250cc, 2008 Suzuki Burgman 650cc...then got it right!

Thanks for the greetings all. Admittedly, I do prefer Italians. I immediately noticed the 'heavier' feel of the Mana at rest even tho it's lighter than the MP3. I guess because of the higher CoG and the wider beam across the 'tank'. That's offset by the much 'lighter' feel at speed compared to the MP3. The Mana is much more agile at all speeds above 0. All I'll miss is the ease of parking and positioning the MP3 with tilt lock engaged.

Durdle, is this the deflector you have? http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/mot...10024-025.html
Has anyone had any luck fitting a Laminar Lip. If so, what model/part number works?

    Ray_Bjur,
You are right. My deflector is the clear one - part #810025. I have since changed the position so that the deflector sits slightly behind the screen instead of a little in front as in the picture. It has so many positions, it is easy to get it just right for yourself.
