i would not touch one with a shity stick , i had the bmw g450x and had no end of problems with it , same bike without the ohlins. and a different colour . 1750 km and been in shop 7 months and seven times .

I'm not getting your post, are you saying you had a Husky and it was in the shop 7 times? I've had my 08 now for three years and not a single issue.

I rode a friend's TE511 last weekend. Very smooth and mellow compared to my 09 TE450.. My TE is very abrupt where the 511 is nice and smooth. It's the kind of smooth that lets you ride all day without tiring you out. His TE did seemed to need a mapping change in the starting area though. It's like you had to watch the throttle while starting.....don't touch then give a little and it would idle. I had the same issue with my 09 when I got it, but the local tech tweaked the map and it starts great now.

The bike needs a mapping improvement from the start. I put a JD6x programmer on mine, it's way better now. Between that and a full exhaust it's like a new bike. The bike also is restricted from the factory, but comes with the plug to undue that.
