Important to fill out Warranty Booklet?

How important is it that the dealer fill out the warranty booklet? I have a Piaggio BV 250

I went in for my first service today. After returning home, I noticed the dealer had not filled out the "First Service" information tab which, according to the booklet, the dealer is supposed to fill out and mail to Piaggio USA. Also, the dealer has not affixed a "Silver sticker" to verify warranty information on the booklet which, according to the booklet, he is supposed to.

Does any of this matter for warranty purposes? Should I return to the dealer and ask him to fill out the information?

In this age of the internet, I would imagine that transmitting this information electronically might be more efficient.

It doesn't make any difference if they fill it out. US dealers don't enter the service coupons to Piaggio Service like some other markets. Keep your receipts as proof that the work was done. As long as your dealer is a stand-up shop, it will never be an issue on warranty claims. If you need to pursue warranty action, your receipts will be adequate documentation.
