600's are fun- where they normally end up in colorado

I acquired a few I4's - a 2008 R6 and a few Honda 600RR's they came and went -buy cheap and sell for a bit more
fun to flick but yes very high strung and no personality....or character....

great starter bikes with sliders ..
this kid like many stood it up and ended down the hill - the trees saved him

but he can do wheelies real well!

It is so much fun, so dramatic, and makes you feel like you are going a thousand miles.

And then you look down at the speedo and realise you are not going as fast as you feel
I can have plenty of fun and get in plenty of trouble with my "Eurotrash" bikes. They may be slower than the High Perf I-4s but I feel like I am enjoying myself more.

Good bikes are like good women - the sluttier the better.
(that was why I liked the Kawasaki KZ650 the best of the air-cooled fours I owned. It was the sluttiest)

the sluttier the better indeed. Unfortunately she decided to throw a tantrum today, so now she's back at the workshop again.

misfire and random poppings when hot, feels as though I've driving my dad's prehistoric merc.

mech thinks it's the quickshifter (that it keeps on sending kill signals for no reason), but i reckon it's an ignition issue related to the power commander.

so while I've officially "owned" the bike for a month now, I've only had it home for 10 hours, and ridden it for 4 (including 2 hours of pushing it)

and I thought japanese bikes are supposed to be more reliable than their italian counterparts?

keep the oil changes up to it and dont sit on redline for any period of time, otherwise you'll end up paying for a new big end and possibly more.

the r6 is such an awesome bike tho imo, incredibly simple to work on and ride fast.

I just turned down a deal to get the full on YEC ECU and Harness for the bike...main reason is because I couldnt get the USB configuration cable.
If that does not work, then perhaps wouldnt mind fiddling with a fully standalone unit in the future.

Stupid move? Or would I be perfectly happy with the PC5+other module?

Unless you plan on racing it, you won't miss it. There are almost an infinite amount of things you can change, add, delete or modify with the kit ecu. Many of which should be handled by a qualified individual or you can really jack stuff up. It's a great bike with out it and I don't think you'll miss it. I switch off between the 08 R6 and the Mille. I love them both for completely different reasons. Enjoy the bike.

I cant believe it, mech finally had time to diagnose it today, it's a farking bug stuck in the fuel tank breather line.

The more I ride it, the more fuel it uses, the more stuck the bug got, until later when he got a pretty good seal the bike would kill itself off quickly whenever it cannot suck fuel.

We blew it out with an airgun, he's dead/dried as crisp, and rode the bike around for a good while (ended up using half a tank of fuel), and everything's good again.

    What?
I pulled the floats off my carbs once and found a moth in the float bowl.

    Now that is awesome!

I love my little '05 R6, It's like my brain is connected directly to it's wheels, such a fun bike and it embarrasses "better" bikes on a regular basis.

The R6 Forum, eh, I use it to sell stuff to 20 somethings...

When I bought the due, it had a mud dauber nest in the air cleaner.
    Bikes:
    2007.5 Tuono-Black, with 1102cc's of micah's badness!
2012 Griso-Silver and black, Agostini pipe, some carbon bits.
2006 Vespa GT200-bitubo suspension all around, Malossi big-bore, head and cam, Akrapovic pipe, all put together by Micah.

gone 2002 Caponord-Oyster gray (as faithful as a hound dog)
gone Futura-Red (on the AF1 showroom floor. Get some.)

The more I learn about people, the more I appreciate rocks.
