Devastating news! That his life was taken so young makes it all the more so. Thoughts and prayers to all that his life had touched.

    Most unfortunate.
Still can't wait for the flag to drop...I take they will just use Q1 times for the starting order?

Having a Kawasaki on pole for the 1st race is nothing if not exactly what WSBK needs to start the season. Congrats to Sykes, hope he can stick with the front runners all the way to the checa'ed flag.

Race 2: biaggi's most brilliant performance to date. A true exhibition of poise unlike him; quite the surprise!

Carlos looked like he was cruising. Should be a great year, surprised Melandri wasn't further towards the front.

Thought I'd get some highlights on ABC News but no. Still, had a great view all day from between T2 & 3. Supersport race was a beauty too. I don't think Checa was cruising either and Max would have left him behind if he'd not high sided out of the first.

Kawasaki must be pleased with the start of 2012

'Tiz the race season now, I presume any thread discussing the race leading up to it will be fair game to have results bandied about also. Hell, I forgot how quickly it was gonna launch myself. Good on Biaggi having a strong showing though.
