Hey cruppelt, just pick one up. You won't be disappointed. I've got 2 Tuonos in my shop, along w/ 3 other Aprilias, but I'm in the Eugene area. Here's one that you overlooked I'm thinking. Definitely worth it w/ all the extras added on. The wheels and exhaust seal the deal for me. I'll go look at it for you if your interested. Just let me know, and I'd be happy to help you out to get on the right path This bikes a slam dunk w/ all the goodies. Only 1200 miles!!!

PS: Motocorsa SUCKS! They only push Ducati, and MV's. There head is so shoved up Ducati's ass they can't see straight.

So I have had a local owner contact me who has a GenII Factory, I can go by either this weekend or next and check it out.

And yes, I do think I might really want one after that. Thanks for all the input guys!

jay dub - thanks for posting the link. I had looked at that one also, but for whatever reason I have never been into blue bikes, nothing to do with the Tuono. I'd much rather go for any of the other possible color combos.

It's all good. The blue one is a drop dead steal however you slice it though. Good luck

Let us know your impressions of the Tuono after you take a Look/ride. If you are like the rest of us you will want one. I was at Motocorsa 3 years ago and they had 1 new one and 1 used one, was admiring the bike with no intent on selling my 3 year old SV1000. Arun had me take the used one for a ride and I bought the new one the next day. Most fun bike I have ever had. For me It is good for 300 mile days and cruising at up to 80 is not bad at all. But the twisties is where it comes into its own. Its a shame that they are going to drop Aprilia. They told me they will honor my extended warranty and will order parts through AF1 if anything is needed. They said they get parts much faster from AF1 than going through the importers or factory.

I had the opportunity to see Marks beautiful Factory bike today. Mark, Thank you so much for letting me visit!
I didn't do more than sit on it (with Mark holding on so I could get both legs up), and look at it from all angles, plus of course listen to the sound... I believe I am just about sold on a Tuono for my next bike.

I really liked the handle bar position with Mana risers; that get's it really close to the comfortable position I have on the FJR right now. The knee bend is a bit more than I am used to, but now that I know I can add a peg lowering option also there is no reason not to go for it. Except the deal with the wife is only one bike at a time, meaning I have to sell the FJR first. I'll post again once I get close to owning my first Tuono.

    Thanks guys!
    Chris in Portland

Well, not to be a heretic or anything, but why don't you go down to Cascade Moto in Beaverton (or even Latus HD soon!) and check out a Speed Triple or a Street Triple? It might fill the bill for you, the seat is lower, they may allow you to consign your FJR, they are definitely not dropping Triumph any time soon, and it sounds like something you're looking for.

As far as one bike at a time, my wife used to say the same thing, so I bought 3 bikes and got rid of the wife.

    Hey Chris,

EDR did have the Tuono in the showroom when I went there on Saturday. If you ask Anton (guy behind the counter), he may let you sit on it and feel it out.

You can also go to Cheshire Motors over in SE.

They work on Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, etc.. Deric used to run Motocorsa's repair shop.

Hey J-Dub, when are you coming up? drop a line and all the PDX folks can get together.

What kind of peg adapters did you get ?

Soon. Our s.moto season starts in two weeks so I'll be up there one weekend a month till Oct. I'll be sure to ring you up and make a plan. I've gotta get up there for suspension work BADLY too. Hopefully we get a spring w/ some sunshine this year...

EDIT: Removed all the details and explanations...
I am actively looking now, and I'll see some of you locals around once I have my Tuono.

I think you should stay off motorcycles and go home to your wife.

It won't be worth it If you break that leg again.
