That something may just be John Ulrich. He has been on a roll lately with his open and accurate articles on AMA lately.
Although I don't always agree with him I do have to admire his stand and publication of the issues within AMA and their
ever changing position and selective enforcement of rules and creating new rules for select manufacturers at the detriment of
    the rest of the racers.
AMA racing has been very good lately! My biggest gripe is that Speed take an hour long race and turns it into less than 25 minutes on average.
They treat every show as if no one has ever seen or heard of motorcycle racing before, wasting time and not showing the actual racing. WSBK and GP seem to do fine with out interviewing select riders on their opinion of how they are going to race today. It is also hard to find any races where they have actually shown more than two laps before a commercial break that usually are as long or longer than the two laps they just showed.
The racing has been great, Speed just needs to show more of the actual races!

Thanks, I ran across this in twowheeling along with a video.
AMA would do well to do something similar thru speed and not muck it up with all their junk and commercials.

You have to admire Infront Motor Sports, not only is World Superbikes is the fastest growing series, with some of the best and battled out racing in the world, but they know how to treat their fans properly (Dorna could learn a few things from them) with their free highlight videos and interviews.

Their post round magazine, like this 26 minute video from the first round of the championship at Phillip Island is very good and gives you some footage from behind the scenes and more highlights from the Superbike and Supersport races.

We enjoyed Steve Martin describing what Althea Ducati did to raise the weight on the 1198
Almost 27 minute highlight of Philip Island.

It sounds like AMA have already responded, and it sounds like a misunderstanding. Maybe those guys are not so bad afterall. Looking forward to Daytona, thanks for the schedule ckruzel.

AMA Pro Road Racing Technical Bulletin #2012-04 has been updated, the only change to the document is the removal of the word "only" in Rule 3.28.d.i and is noted in red in the following excerpt:

    i. AMA Pro Racing and the other logos and trademarks shown herein are licensed trademarks of AMA Pro Racing. Participants are to use the approved logos on number plates and apparel (strikethrough ---only-----) when participating in AMA Pro Racing events. Any further use of the marks (i.e., the AMA Pro Racing mark, and other AMA Pro Racing trademarks and logos) outside of this capacity is not permitted without a license from, or the express, written permission of AMA Pro Racing.

Removing the word "only" doesn't change a thing . They should have removed the whole last sentence. Riders can still be punished if they don't have the license form or express, written permission.

Exactly, and there DMG goes again proving my point, in an election year I get plenty of politics, no more BS is needed. The omission of "only" changes nothing in the text, ask a lawyer!

Gotta love the passion Mr. Ulrich has for road racing and what is right. Good on him for standing up to the Man.

Wheres that photo of him and a bunch of 250 two stroke racers giving the bird to AMA. Hilarious.

micah, every series has rules and regulations that when they come out get challenged and overturned, its not just the ama, as a member of ama pro racing, i get every rule and pdf regulations emailed to me, there are lots of them throughout the year, some are just mandatory autograph signing times, shipping info for tracks, but i get them all, i figured it would be changed

politics are everywhere, business, of course goverment, racing, sports, you can't escape it

Not sure why the form of motorcycle racing makes the difference, but I don't mind him when watching the dirty bikes. Road racing.....can't freaking stand it.
