My first street bike was the 1983 Interceptor in red and white, I loved that bike! Pic is me riding it in Italy when I was stationed there from 83-85.

Honda 2011 moto GP bike should do be for a while :-}}
Yup. Exactly what Micah said. Nothing fits me better than my Futura. If money is not a concern, the only way to top this for me would be to somehow shoehorn a Triumph 1050 triple into the Futura's frame. Nothing wrong with a 1060 or 1102 Rotax twin (other than fuel consumption!), but I've been in lust with the snarling big triple for years... It's just that the ergo's of the Sprint were all wrong for me, and the luggage on the ST version was useless.

A pick of the 2011 MotoGP paddock. Probably the Honda. A race spares kit that is endless. Get me a International fifth wheel transporter and featherlite race trailer and go road racing every weekend during the summer.

I have ridden some in the dirt, but it was always a project, like going waterskiing or mountain climbing.
I roadraced a few years, but that is another project type activity.
I love street bikes because I can get on and go somewhere or get on and go nowhere.
I have had many, but some were more notable.
My first was a CB160 in 1966.
I, too, put 100,000 miles on a CB750 - a red sandcast K0 bought new in Sept '69.
My CX500 I got in '80 was a dull but reliable ride while I raced two-strokes, and carried me to Nova Scotia and back from ATL.
My CBR100F in '87 was a powerful and refined sport-tourer. I could actually get that thing around twisty stuff pretty well.
When I was preparing for a Big Ride with two friends in '03, my wife said my 16-yr-old Hurricane was too old and I needed a new bike.
The Tuono captivated me on the first test ride, and I took one home that day.
It has deepened and broadened that bond every time I have ridden it since.
It fits me perfectly. The vibration it makes is comforting to me, not numbing like an I4 or V4.
It is big enough to be stable and small enough to be nimble.
It is easy to ride slowly and easy to ride fast.
It does everything I want.

Ok its the one without the tracks and gun!Strip off the bags and jack up the ESA and it is surprisingly nimble on the twisty roads. Not long in the lungs like a sport bike so you need to keep it in the tight sections. It will surprise allot of sport bikes on a tight road. Stoppies even with bags on are shocking for most to witness, you just can not get your mind around it being within the physics to do! Power wheelies in the first two gears leave you with a grin factor of +10. And since I have a mind set of leave no road unexplored when the pavement ends and the gravel begins I do not want to hear any whining about your bike getting dirty or rock chips in your fairings. And when the gravel ends and the dirt begins, I will see you on the other side! When it all turns to single track, I'll stop and have a beer with you, it's not that good!
Wanna go for a ride?
