    KTM 690 SMC

65 HP at the wheel with couple mods, can do dirt or street, 305 lbs, and can also carry set of luggage, or be out fitted like a Dakar rally bike with some Rally Raid kit parts. Really a do it all bike, and fun power to weight ratio. On top of that easy 3000 mile oil changes, and reasonable valve check intervals

The Brough would be great to have as an investment, but to have only one bike to ride, I would have to pick a BMW F800GS.

    Depending on the "predicted" scenario...haha

Well, i mean. It's going to be different given the circumstances....lol, if the world is going to be some post appocalyptic, zombie run, neucular wasted, fight for your life type of lifestyle.

Personally, I could see myself tearing thru a dry dusty field, with throttle in one hand, sawed-off 12 guage shotgun in the other, with my brimmed safari hat like woody pictured below...

....But, more realistically....if/when life goes on. I would prefer to have one of the sexiest bikes IMO,

True, an investment indeed however I chose because of it's timeless beauty, rarity and the fact that they built bikes to last back then. I don't think were going to see any 70+ year old bike from our time in the future. Well, we would be dead but you get my meanimg.

I'd keep my RSV4, buy what I need to make it a Tuono V4 and switch between the 2.

A Honda VFR750 6x, a replica would do as HRC Japan only built 4 originals.

FUCK THE MAGS Nuke the whales!

I see to recall that the ORIGINAL Tuono was around £18000 new......
Only 200 of them made (and yours ain't one of them FTM.....) worldwide.

My first bike - not just any Multistrada 620, but my own, brought back to life. I'd also be happy if I could keep my RSV for the rest of my life.
But to answer the question as if I had the opportunity to get any OTHER bike, and it would have to be my only bike? Hard to say - there are a few candidates I'd need to get good test rides on first 999S Biposto is a front-runner.

Yes - the multi 620 is a very nice bike! Not aggressive or super fast but a a cool, different, comfortable bike!

Only one bike? It would have to be a modded out harley davidson sportster. Cos it would be timeless, and you'll still look great on it when you're 65.

The only bike listed so far that has caused a "me too" reaction would be the F800GS BMW, I do agree that would be close to ideal!

All you KTM and BMW F800 dual purpose guys have some very logical choices. But.
    Fuck Logic!

“The rest of your life” holds very different meaning for different people.

At 62, I will feel lucky if I am riding next year.
With real luck, I could ride another 20.

What would I want to ride?

Exactly what I am riding now.
Magnet Grey ’03 Tuono with my favorite bars, Sargent, Ohlins, linked midpipe and Gabro 255.

When I ride it, 100 yards from the house it feels – perfect.
After a day or several of the twistiest roads in the world, it feels – perfect.

Spare parts on the shelf, spare motor, spare wheels with tires in the rack, and spare bike next to it on Pit Bulls.

After 45 years of riding 20+ bikes, this one is – me.
