    Dr. Pulley sliders, etc.

Info posting: for you guys pondering the installation of Dr. Pulley sliders and related parts, the go to guy is Paul Wu at "paul@unionmaterial.com". By the by, this is a 'factory direct' reference and Paul knows more about these sliders than anyone I've researched. I bought mine from him: great service; no hassle.

Does any one know if you can buy a Dr Pulley slider that will not cause you to increase your RPMs at highway speed. I am assuming that a slider of the proper weight would give you the same highway performance as the stock rollers but that is just an assumption on my part. My 07 500ie with stock rollers has enough get up and go for me but I would like to smooth out low end acceleration.
I have an 8 roller variator.
I also have a Free set of 8- 15 gm Dr Pulley sliders that came out of a friends Beo. My friend did not like the fact that these sliders increased his highway RPMs so we removed them after about 800 miles.
They are free to anyone who wants to give them a try.

    Steve,

If you are going for a quiet ride and nice fast take-off while sacrificing a few RPM at top speed, reply to Bob Walker's offer of a free set of sliders. I have the 16g sliders in my Beo and am very satisfied with them. Still top off somewhere I've never tried to be and I do ride interstate at around 75 with passing up into the 80s.

Steve, I have the Dr.Pulley 16g weights. Stock are about 22, as I remember. There are 8 in my 06 Beo.

I thought the 19 gram option did all we wanted ? in a eight set ? Cleans up low end stutter and leaves top end essentially alone Im not gonna quibble on RPM changes unless over 250 RPM

I installed 17 gram Dr. Pulleys on my 2009 Beo 500ie last Fall (6000 mi service). Clearly improved low end - no more stutter and better acceleration. Top end was dropped about 4 mph. Still runs very well at highway speeds. Very happy with the results.

What type of mileage is everyone getting on Dr pulley sliders? Has anyone had them long enough to have to change? I have eleven thousands miles on my 2004 Atlantic and I think it is time for a new belt and rollers. I'm reading some places that Dr pulley sliders last less than factory arou nd seven thousand miles. Anyone ever had long long term experience with Dr pulley as I here a lot of positive feedback when first installed

Mileage going from 22 gram OEM to DR. Pulley 17 gram changed mileage from 62 MPG to about 58 MPG (US gallons) - 2009 Scarabeo 500ie.

Where/how do you get these things?

I see a lot of chatter about Dr. Pulley sliders, different sizes and so on... What I really want to know is, where can they be ordered from? I am going to assume that 19g is probably the way to go, and that I need an 8 set for my 06 Beo GT... But where/how do I get these things?

My reason for wanting to change is the constant rattle from 25 to 35 mph.

    Thanks,
    -Dana

    Which ones?

Thanks for the link above... Any idea which size is for the 2006 Scarabeo 500 GT? I know there are 8 weights, but what size are they? Also, the photos in the link above only show sets of 8, but I would need 8. I am not sure any sets from that site will even work with my CVT.

Thanks to anyone with the correct answer to the question above.

Look at the Size and width of the eight set Here in Shopping Note the width and wht not You need same width the width of the 6 set would be to fat to fit the 8 Varios Ramps slot the slider/ roller moves in the only thing really of concern to us is the weight or total weight you can skip a weight for another etc 19 rthen 17 then 19 etc people let some o this stuff runaway with them..
