    Dyno before/after Gabro

    Here we go...

A gain of 5 HP and 3 lbs of torque. This eddy current dyno reads lower than a Dynojet so multiply the results by 1.15 to convert, I'm told.

Solid line on Gabro run shows V2 map, dotted line is V5. Not a big difference on paper.
Have only ridden so far on the V5 and the bike is much smoother and stronger from off throttle. Money well spent. Will put in a Power Commander at some point and try to smooth out that air/fuel mix line. Will trim pot adjustments help the mixture tuning here ?

How about a little more on the exhaust, intake ect. ?

My 03 Tuono has an Arrow slip on with the db killer in it. Air box is derestricted. Otherwise stock. Gabro said this chip worked equally well with my slip on or a derestricted stock unit.
The dyno operator said a good target air/fuel mix was just under 13/1 so I'm not too far off, it seems. I'd like to see a dyno chart for one that's really dialed in. There's one archived in the forum someplace, no doubt.

Skip the dynojet correction factor, please. What you're getting here is a real, useable horsepower readout.

Don't corrupt it with the 'dynojet factor', whatever that variable number is today.
    see ya later,

The whole correction factor thing is Greek to me too. The comparison from old chip to new chip is the only info I'm offering here. Same dyno, same operator. Positive results.
Went for a good ride today and can tell you that my bike is even more fun than it used to be.

Yeah, you SHOULD apply the exhaust mod (crossover pipes welded into the midpipe) to flatten out that crater @ 5k!
Threads here and in the Mille board...

    nice writeup!
CO trimpots do alter fueling on the whole rev range... in fact usually in the eprom i sell for futher fuel mapping via PCIII i lock the trimpots fuction at 4000rpm.

could you post a pic of both CO trimpots present position?

BTW i've enought info to tailor-suit both V2 and V5, using the dyno A/F chart... i can ship it next week

BTW, I have a connector exhaust pipe ordered from burnsstainless.com and a welder on standby for bridging the headers too. The plot thickens. Muwahahahahaha.

It looks almost like I could remove the header loopy mid section without dropping the front pipe off the cylinder head. True ? Or do I have to drop the radiators and whole shitteree ? Thanx in advance for any news.
Also what is this tube and was would it be plugged ?

Yes, you can remove/replace the midpipe without disturbing the front header.
The most you need to do is loosen the rear header at the exhaust clamp.
This requires lifting the tank to reach the top nut with a box spanner, and a long extension with a universal joint and socket on the bottom two.
With the rear header loose, but still attached with all 3 nuts still on the studs, you can drop the rear of the midpipe off the rear header and sllde it rearward off the front header.
    Reverse to re-nstall.

I actually replaced a midpipe without loosening either header, but I do not recommend that for the faint of heart.
