Hello all,
New to he forum and a proud owner of a 2011 dd 750. There is an abundance of good riding here in Virginia, just wondering if there are any fellow aprilia riders that would like to possibly organize some rides! Thanks

I am in NOVA. I ride in Western VA with a few guys when the weather gets nice, 211/340/33 out into WV is a regular route, we also head down to NC/TN once or twice a year and hit 226A outside of little Switzerland once a year. Send me a message sometime and when the weather warms up we can meet up. You get your DD at Ultimate Cycle? I got my Shiver there.
You may want to join ducatimonsterforum.org and go to the local clubs sections, then select the CAM club (capitol area motorcyclists), they do a lot of meet-ups with all kinds of riders, jap bikes, italian, KTM, bmw, etc.

I'm west of you in Lynchburg (beford county)....There's about 5 or 6 of us between the SXV's (me and 2 or 3 others) RXV's (1, that i know of) and RSVR's (1 or 2). All the XV's are here on the site....not too sure about the the others.
I've seen a few other ape riders around the twisties in my area too...but not sure if they're local. Like you said the ridings good, and brings people from all over

I'm down in Norfolk and have a 04 RSV Factory. Haven't been out too much on it yet though.
I ride a Mana 850 gt. I am looking for rides of all types. I have done a lot of riding right near DC, but mostly in MD.
So many rides around here mean you have to ride through traffic before you get to good roads. I have not done Skyline Drive, but I hope to get there this spring.
Current ride is Mana 850GT
Old ride was Ninja 500r
I also have a Mana GT. I work at the US Capitol Bld. (Midnight). Skyline sounds great. I haven't ridden it yet and would love to. Sounds like a ride forming! I love RT 619 Joplin road exit 150a off of I-95, head west from Quantico Marine Corps. Base. I learned to pop my first wheelie on a Buell Ulysses over the short-fast hills. I actually got my Mana's front end up, however never again.
I'm in Prince William County--there are some fun rides to be done through PWC, Loudoun, and Fauquier counties, definitely up for meeting with whoever for rides... of course after my mille gets back from the shop!
I am supposed to have my bike back this Thursday/Friday if all goes as planed. If I do, Saturday looks nice and I am going to head out to a few of my favorites that lead up to Skyline. If any on here are interested and in the DC area, send me a PM and I can email you on Friday with details of where to meet etc.
The "good roads" start about an hour west of DC on 66. From there down some local country roads for about 30 miles, then about 10 miles up the blue ridge mountains, then you can go north or south on skyline or head into WVA. If people are looking for more of a cruse heading south on Skyline is good but a total speed trap (dont ask me how I know). If people are looking for something more sporty we can head out to WVA, rarely see any fun police out there. Easy access to major freeways along the way if anyone needs to peel back, normally I will leave by 10am, back by around 6pm.
If I have my bike back and in working order I am going so feel free to join...
