So I probably don't need a pillion seat and don't do touring on it so don't need the rear pegs for tie down.

Fair enough. I would make one point to those of you who want to do this and do tour: If you look at my avatar, you'll maybe see I have the Ventura "sports racK" - i.e. the low rise one - facing forward. I put a soft "AndyStrapz" bag on this (about 35L) for touring in the mountains. But I have to be very careful about how it's mounted, or the bag gets in the way of my arse. And while I could turn the rack around, I'd then have the weight of the back hanging off the rear end, which is obviously less than ideal. So, there is a cost.

[nb: I'm assuming Ventura makes a different rack for the T which uses the longer tail to advantage].

What parts are required to make this conversion? Is it simply plastic and seat or is new sub-frame required?

That makes two of us! Could someone publish a complete parts list for this conversion, or, where can I find a complete list of all parts needed to do this. I don't want to order the parts and miss something. Also, can the lower side plastics be re-used? They look the same as the RSV4 ones. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks good.. Iv done the same to my TV4 black with the RSV4 rear end. Don't care what anyone say's its look shit loads better than the standard rear end. Was never keen on the yellow but you have made it look much better..

Hey Wilko, Do you have a list of part numbers to order ALL the bits to convert the tail on the TV4 to an RSV4 tail? I want to do this as I am now ready to convert but don't want to miss a piece. Maybe someone else?? Anyone?

Yep, I have all the part numbers for every nut and bolt. Bike's going in to be sprayed next week too, excited!

Will sort it soon and get back to you, there's a lot of numbers.

Hey Roadcraft, What colour? Oh, by the way, can I use the original bolts etc. to fit the new tail pieces? I think I need a new bracket(the one at the very back), but aren't all the other nuts and bolts etc. the same?

It's gonna be Aprilia's metallic white. Not sure about current bolts yet as I haven't dismantled the current tail. The brackets are needed though along with the little plastic lens the seat clips into. Bike will be stripped soon and put on YouTube.
