It is the same as I've been using for years on both the Falco and now the T, the GC one by the way.

I put the Geelong Carbon Craft protector on my black Falco and it fitted well and looked good. Although being polished it will show a bit of scuffing after some use but it never stood out that much.
And for what it's worth I prefer TechSpec to Stomp grip. I think it looks better on the bike and it's not as coarse on your clothing. You can get it online locally.

I still can't find one that looks like a vagina. When I do, I'm all over it.

I had a raised/rubberized pad a few years ago I really liked, but the adhesive would degrade in hot weather until it got to the point it was moving off center. It was a bitch getting the remaining adhesive cleaned up when I took it off too.

GCC may not want to post a Falco tank protector since there are two tank shapes and they have been caught out before shipping the wrong shape. They were considering removing it from the website about 3 months ago. They were fine with me riding down for a fitting or working out an arrangement to send both tank shapes and me returning the one that didn't fit. You'll have to ring them before ordering. I ended up just fitting a good generic gel pad.

Had High Fusion grips on before the repaint. They performed well but looked a bit meh and needed a cut in one or two places to conform to the falco tank, which added to the very ordinary look. They performed very well though. I'm yet to replace them as I do miss them when scrapping up the mountain. The C3 grips appear much better looking from the website.

Well I decided to contact geelong carbon craft and see if they were interested in a group buy deal and received the following informative response:

Thank you for your interest in our products. Aprilia, like Ducati use a Company called Acerbis to manufacture their plastic tanks. You would think that all the Falco tanks would be the same, but this is not so. We have two moulds already for the various earlier years, but as we have found out last February with a Victorian customer, we need to make a third as there is a third tank moulding as the both that we have made did not fit his bike. We even went to see him on our way to the Island to fit it ourselves and it was way different. His bike was a later model, so we are faced with the dilemma that the Italians will put any of these tanks on any year bike, so we cannot determine which shape would be for whichever bike. In the past with the older models, we needed to send the both tank pads and the customer would send back the one that does not fit, with us refunding their postage, therefore a little cost ineffective, but it worked. So, what I can suggest is, determine how many customers you have interested, what year their bike is and are they in Australia or if near the Gold Coast, even better. Price wise, depending on number, I could offer you a costing of $125 + postage of $15(Australia).

So there you go, I had assumed all falco tanks were the same! btw is anyone else interested in a group buy?
