    CCS legal coolant

What are people running besides distilled water in their bikes?

Engine Ice was legal when I was racing a liquid-cooled bike. I used the Silkolene version of it as well. I'll be damned if I can what the antifreeze is called them; propylene glycol?

Water-wetter may not be the best idea if you live in the frozen north, or Arizona these days.

Distilled water with Motul MoCool added. I've done a back to back comparison test between Redline Water Wetter and the Motul product and my bike ran 4 degrees C cooler with MoCool.

Is nothing out there with corrosion inhibitors? Amauri did a tear down on an ape engine and had horrendous corrosion damage.

When I worked for an Aprilia dealer, they came with CCS legal antifreeze stock. The blue stuff was legal in CCS as of 2009's rulebook.

Back when I raced I used RV antifreeze from Wal-Mart. It is a propylene glycol mix like water wetter and looks just like a mix of water and water wetter so I never had problems with tech. It also prevented the problems of freezing in the trailer during early season races. I don’t make any promises about the performance of this just relaying something I have done myself and worked fine for me, and it is super cheap.

I'm still trying to find out what KTM uses in the RC8. It is clear coolant/anti-freeze with all the corrosion inhibitors but is glycol free. I've yet to find out who makes it or what it is.
Anyone have a clue? i have to swap out my 675R water wetter as i'm leaving for a few months.

Problem with Glycol products is they break down and turn acidic there is where your corrosion comes from .Just use water just change it alot.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure?.

Engine Ice or Cool Aide and change at least annually. No corrosion issues noted but I change out usually two or three times a year during various maintenance tasks.
