Paint job opinions wanted

I rashed up the Tuono at the track last month and one of our own Meanstrk has painted the front cowl and rear tail section red with charcoal accent instead of the factory red and bronze accent. I think it looks great.

Question, the tank is next and I'm undecided on whether I should ask for a solid color red tank or the charcoal accent on the bottom third like the bike came with. Here's the stock tank

Thoughts/Ideas?

I like that combo on the tail. I think the tank will need something more than plain red but not too much. I like two-tone bikes but keep it simple like on the tail.

Any plans for lettering or logo? That may be enough with a solid tank.

When I painted my Guzzi I went with the red / black combo with white lettering and love it.

PS. You didn't screw up my mirrors, did you?

Well Dan, I didn't screw up the mirrors since I was on the track, but truth be told, one did back out on me, some where on this road. Never did find it

Thanks for the paint feedback. I need to contact AF1 for tank lettering. I would do it if it's not expensive.

I say go with a charcoal accent at the bottom.

the stock tank accent creates a good composition line in the overall flow of the look of the bike . Don't disrupt it. Dan M is right about an accent color.

So, I guess I am going to do an accent coloring on the bottom of the tank then? If you want lettering (aprilia) you need to let me know something so I don't spray it before getting the decals.
