    Can anyone here help out??

a lady friend of mine owns a 2009 Ducati 696 monster, it has been stood for a while and now won't start, battery has been charged and shows good but the bike still won't have anything to do with it. I am a long way away from her so can't just nip down for a better look. could the battery jujst be knackered but be showing a full charge or something else be causing it?? Just been told the bike turns over but won't kick in.
Cheers in advance for any help here.
    Chris.

Most likley the fuel is bad if it has sat for a while its most likley its gummed up. Tell him or her to take the gas cap off and smell gas if it smells nasty its gone bad need to have the carbs cleaned . Hope this helps

    Carbs?

I thought the 696 had the Siemens EFI (vs. Marelli on the 695). I could be wrong though (wouldn't be the first/last time). if it is EFI, then check to make sure the fuel pump comes alive when turned on (relays get sticky too).

Piss the fuel and plugs off, charge the battery, purge the injector lines. Try again.
