You do not have to have a long neck to be a goose
This is interesting.
A buddy and I were out on the weekend and fueled up at the same times. He has a new v4 Tuono
First stop. I put in 11.03 ltrs and he 11.30 ltrs.
Next stop. Me 12.98 ltrs. Him 13.35 ltrs.
Pretty close for two different engines.
BTW. I'm showing 6.5 ltrs per 100km. Not that bad at all.
Did 234 kms. Put just under 14 ltrs in at fill up.
I'm pretty happy with that.
what?
my lowest mileage ever was 6,9liters / 100km, my tank would be dead empty after 217km.
how the heck did you do that?
<-- Guy Martin?
"Wanking is not a crime... is it?"
I've noticed when I run lower tire pressure, I get considerably worse mileage. I now run 35 front and 39 rear with the rosso 2s and I get about 90 to 92 miles before the light comes on. When I ran 33 front 37 rear, I got about 85 to 87 miles before the light came on.
2011 Dorsoduro 1200
Hi Quza.
The secret is not to rev the ring out of the bike. I rarely get over 6000rpm on the road. I don't smash it out of corners either.
Just try and ride smoothly.
When I had the Tuono at the track the first time, I didn't think it possible for a bike to use so much fuel.
I run 34/36 with the rosso corsa's. Love em. The Dorso doesn't seem to be eating them as much as the Tuono. Yay!!
