Smile small cap fell off the turn signal switch

after coming out from shopping i noticed the little cap on the flasher signal was missing . luckily i looked on the ground and found it . when i got home i thought about gluing it back on but decided not to . i figured i might not be ble to remove it should it need to come off . so i got a small piece of that gummy putty you use to stick posters on walls .i made a small ball of it ,it's kinda like silly putty ,then stuck it to the inside ot the cap that covers the post for the blinkers .then i pushed the small cap onto the post . now it will stay put and if ever need to take it off no problem .works for me .

You can use a drop of silicon rubber to hold the button without making a permanent attachment.

They replaced the entire assembly on mine

When mine fell off in the 3rd month of ownership in Oct 2007, they replaced the entire assembly, which reset my milage to zero????
I told them it would be OK to just get me a new cap, but they insisted????
    It obviously cost me nothing.

I lost mine about a month ago in a parking lot. I found it, as well. You'd think the thing was glowing with our success rate.

I did end up gluing mine on, but I guess that may have been a mistake. Oh well, live and learn and what not.
