Exclamation New Aprilia Dealer in Adelaide

Hi all you mob in Oz (especially Adelaide) ,
did you know that Bill's Motorcycles in the city is now an Aprilia Dealer?

He will get rid of the Yamaha dealership and concentrate on the Aprilia & Moto Guzzi brands.

His shop on Main North Rd will still be a Honda dealer.

I am lead to believe that Italian Motorcycles has/will lose their dealer licence.

Thank Christ. Something CENTRAL to the city! As much as I like Mary Lou, riding up there or paying postage for a $10 part from Strath can be a pain in the arse when you're in a hurry! And Bill's a nice bloke - been dealing with him for over 15 years.

Yeah Bill's a straight shooter; I bought (and then sold) my VFR thru him and now also the DD from him as well.

I think the Yamaha dealership got rid of Bill and Italian motorcycles did not lose the Aprilia /Moto guzzi brands Im sure they got rid of them.

Just be a bit careful buying from Bills, I bought a 2009 fireblade from them that was faulty from new. It idled very rough and would stall evry now and then when I pulled in the clutch. Bills were not interested in fixing it at all, instead telling me to dyno tune it. When that didnt work they they just fumbled around telling me to try this and that and spend my own money trying to sort it out. 2 and a half years later I still dont know if its fixed (I dont rie it much since it stalled on a blind corner and tried to kill me) and its only done 3000km. I asked for my money back and they offered me $10500 for it. It cost me $23000 plus about 6 and a half thousand trying to fix the fault. Just a warning, they are probably pretty good if nothing goes wrong with your bike.

Similarly I don't have a great deal of confidence about their service side.
Got a tube fitted to a blown tire by Bills at Main North Rd a few years back (silly me, but it was nearly brand new and I didn't want to throw it in the bin).
They fitted the tube twisted so it failed within a couple of days, and they didn't refit my right angle triumph valve stem - eventually got it back when I realised but it left me with the experience of Bills service department being a waste of money and a hassle I didn't need.

Was Red 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 (got broken)
    Now Black 2010 RSV4R
