Than i think the vacume tap is not working good, take the vacume tube off and suck on it and see if it works good than.

dont think u understand, i tried it without vacuum tap, i fed fuel directly from funnel, down fuel line and into the carb. It still bounced back n forth :S

Maybe it doesn't close so you get a "blowback"..

That pipe only fits on a Single sided swingarm model RS50 or AF1-50, on the later models the swingarm is in the way.Originally Posted by caco

Its for a RS50 <1998 model... if its original it should have Aprilia stamped into the expensionchamber, if its not original it might have a brandname on there... its difrent from the 2 i have, looks a bit like a Giannelli i got laying around.

sorry for not updatin guys, the bikes been put in the shed, have been busy with work n my vfr400 recently.
the exhaust is from a 99-05 rs50. its not the <98 model, all i did was make up a bracket to hold the exhaust as bit lower so it misses the fairing.
its the standard exhaust but will be changed for an arrow one soon, so itll be up for sale at some point if anyone wants.
still got that problem with the fuel not being sucked through, so planning to strip at some point this week, check the reeds although they should be fine, but im thinking its the floatbowl stuck or something, wouldn't surprise me with the quality of the carb.
