Hello, I'm currently looking at purchasing an Adventurer Tourer, so far on my list I have the Tiger 800, Vstrom 650 and literally found the Pegaso 650 yesterday as I was researching. I've found a decently priced Factory '08/'09 model with around 400k's on the clock (which is quite odd for the age), what should I be looking out for when purchasing?
So far I've only noticed that the 1st gear is strange, the bike tends to jolt slightly when accelerating, I also noticed this on a '06(?) model which I rode before it, guy at shop said that usually as soon as you release the clutch at take off, you get ready to quickly shift into 2nd as the 1st gear is lousy. I did notice and only later realised that the rev limiter kicked in around 5500 due to the bike not run it yet (oops).
Buffeting wise I thought the Peg was the best compared to the other 2.
I really enjoyed the bike and it didn't feel top heavy (I'm coming from an XR250 and now test rode all 3).
Only thing that really peeved me off was that I kept turning on the high beams, the switch sticks out too much.
