    motorcycle stolen in san antonio!

Hey guys, its been a while since ive posted here, but ive always been lurking here in general and off topic even after I got rid of the aprilia's.

Last night sometime between 6 and 8pm my motorcycle was stolen from the UTSA parking lot while I was in class. I locked the steering as always, but I've never even worried about the bike parked at school, the bike parking is front and center in one of the busiest parking lots at school, right where all the shuttles drop off.

If you're in san antonio and you spot a repsol matching my description please contact me.

    2009 cbr1000rr
    LP#: 4BC981

    Taylor Made racing exhaust

orange hotbodies undertail with ghetto mounted license plate

rear hugger was eaten up when I put a 190/55 rear tire on it and rode it very hard so now the rear hugger looks like it was shaved down in a U shape.

front windscreen has lots of heavy scratches from a spill on park road 37 2 years ago

    chrome mirror block off plates

brand new dunlop Q2 190/55 rear tire and matching Q2 front

hopefully its not already all taken apart or in mexico...

I bet if you do some serious investigating you can figure out who the perps are. They're probably very experienced with the area. I'm mad for you. We've all been ripped before.

that blows man, sorry to hear that. did you have a brake disc lock on it? i have one that beeps if it gets leaned upright too, only problem is it goes off if it's in the rain, but little worry of that here in SA!

a guy back in Jax (FL) got his stolen from his apt, next thing some dirt bags from the north side told his brother he had a bike for sale, so the guy ended up buying his own bike back for a few hundred bucks. He said it was completely not worth getting shot over, and at least he had his bike back. So f'd up.

Good luck man, i don't live far from UTSA, will keep an eye out.

I've been in the bike business 20 years and (sad to say) know of many bike theft stories. One, at gun point, busy intersection in Tampa with dozens of witnesses ...... they got away with it.

Most common place is apartment parking lots. What the professional looks for is predictablity. If the bike is parked there the same time, same day, week after week the pro knows just what to bring to overcome security system quickly. A bike cover helps and attaching the bike to something else (chain, cable, etc) makes it a little more difficult.

That's a beautiful bike and I hope you get it back. If it was a "joy rider" you may have a chance.

If it makes you feel any better; I had a Honda Aero80 scooter, stolen twice and ended up putting 3 perps in jail. HA!

Post something on the 'meetup san antonio sportbike' group?

One of their female members had her bike stolen this summer & got it back via the posts from the perps FB page!

A member there has got to know something.....
