Today I tried to mount the RCS 18/20 M/C I got at Dan Kyle's shop. Sorry to say the brake line was about 1/4 inch too short! The OEM and the new M/C at first blush look just about identical. The brake micro switch is identical, the ports are the same but the position of the port for the banjo bolt is slightly farther away on the RCS.

If anyone solved this without having to throw custom Spieglers on it, let me know otherwise it's back to Dan's shop. I made a right nice mess bleeding the lines, BF everywhere..

I installed the RCS 19 with no problems on a 10' Factory.

I pick mine up from the dealer, had a few things fixed. Swapped out the Aprilia riser clip ons (they will be in the classifieds soon) for a set of woodcrafts. I wanted a wider/ flatter hand position. It sprinkled off and on the whole time I rode. It was totally worth it. I haven't had my bike for about a month.

I used a brake line extender like this one when I put some raised bars on my RSV. Not sure if it will work with yours but it may

Hahaha... Drawing attention to your nails would be too bad of me... Glad they get regular TLC.

Thanks for the tip. I take it you thread the extender into the M/C. If that's the case, it will work if you RAISE the bars, but not lower them due to lack of clearance at the upper fork. I will ask Dan Kyle though about a fix. I'd rather use the new one than not.

I had the same problem with the RCS19 and the woodcraft bar risers I have to use (to keep my hands from going numb). Had AF1 order up some custom Galfer lines and they are supposed to be in this week. My lines had to be about 50 mm longer to MC and 5mm longer at calipers. Dropping the fixed Aprilia line with the "T" and four piece line for a three piece. Pics to follow when I get them installed.

What have you done to your RSV4 today?

Fitted the Akrapovic carbon hanger and removed the pillion footrests.
