1400 mile trip on the Beo

My wife and I set off for a week on the bikes. I'm on the Beo and she's on the SilverWing. Out of Florida, up into Alabama, and into the north Georgia 'hills'. Tried to avoid interstate highways and stayed at B&Bs that were at the end of our typical 300 +/_ days. It couldn't have been better - - the Beo performed perfectly; mileage about 60mpg and even the weather (almost) cooperated. Anybody that wants B&B recomendations, drop me a note.

Trip'in on the Beo is even better than the BMW - - - and that's saying something,

Good ride...haven't had the chance to do a "longer" trip yet but the New England Fall weather is coming...back roads are my specialty up here...
Girlfriend is diggin' her Scarabeo 200 and itching for a trip too...just installed a top case on hers (Givi 30L Monolock)

BTW mine is also a 2006 GT 500! Great scooters!

My grandfather who lived to be 100 years old had a saying; "Don't get old and be sorry for the things that you didn't do." Silas, Go for it and be safe.

This is the link to a report of a freind of mine who has ridden his 06 beo from Kingston (Southern Tasmania) to Brisbane (Queensland). His conclusion that the beo is a fine touring machine is one I agree with. Happy riding
