    Bike transport opportunities

Since we have a sticky thread for members all across the country who are willing to help out of state buyers with inspecting used bikes for sale, how about a sticky for transporting bikes?

Those who are embarking on a road trip and are able to safely carry a bike or two could post up and maybe help someone out, also earn a few $$ to help with fuel costs.

I will be driving my Sprinter van from Southern California to Milwaukee WI and south for the Indy Moto GP.
Anyone need a bike transported to or from anywhere along the route?

I can carry two bikes safely locked up in my van, I can also carry heavy or bulky parts such as a motor, etc.

I leave on Aug 14th and return the week after the GP, around Aug 31st.

Great idea Amauri! Having a thread like that would be extremely useful sometimes. I've been in a bind more than once before.

Absolutely brilliant idea. I know I've asked on wera if anyone could transport a bike I purchased. This may open up commerce between buyer's & seller's on here.
I wouldn't expect to receive shipping for free but maybe we could reduce transport fee's greatly for forum member's.
I just paid $599 via UShip for ZX6R last month. I'd gladly help out locally if I can carry a bike or part's, I currently use a Versahauler (I don't get out of state much, if at all)

I just transported 15 Pirelli tires to Willow Springs Raceway for distributor as a favor and received a nice "racer" discount on a set of Diablo SBK SC3 slick's while at the track

I need to get my brothers track bike from Chicago to the San Francisco bay area in the next 6 weeks. Anyone heading West looking to cut fuel costs? Guys on uship are asking ridiculous amounts of $$.

Just wanted to say that on my trip to Indy and back last month, I was able to transport two bikes for members here, that helped pay nearly 1/2 my total fuel costs.

Thanks to this thread and also a similar post on the WERA forum.
